Morning departure from Bishkek. The journey will take us through the Too-Ashuu mountain pass at an altitude of 3100m. The road is very scenic, so there will be several photo stops. Next, we’ll descend into the Suusamyr Valley for lunch by the Suusamyr River – lunch boxes will be provided. After lunch, we’ll arrive at the Kyzyl-Oi guest house, where you can either stroll through the canyon or relax by the Kokomeren River. Dinner and overnight stay at the guest house.

Breakfast, get ready for another day. We’ll have a coffee break by the river en route. Then we move on to the Kyzyl-Korgon gorge for a walk among the red-yellow canyons and a picnic with one of the lake views. After lunch, we’ll ascend to Son-Kul Lake via a 3400m high pass. Breakfast in the yurt camp, followed by a drive through the Moldo-Ashuu pass, stop for a photo at the panorama. We’ll have lunch in the village of Baetovo, then ascend the scenic MELS pass 3400m, descending into the At-Bashi valley. We’ll visit the Tash-Rabat Caravanserai, a 15th-century stop for traders on the Great Silk Road (a branch connecting East and West). We will have dinner and an overnight stay in another yurt camp.

Early in the morning breakfast, take jeeps to the lake as closer can bring (depends on weather and soil conditions), you can either walk or ride horses (3-4km one way) to the lake, nestled among cliffs at an altitude of 3500m above sea level. After an early breakfast, we’ll set off at a leisurely pace toward the southern shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. Our path will trace the meandering course of the Naryn River, offering scenic stops in the breathtaking Kichi Naryn gorge. The highlight of our drive will be ascending to the formidable Tosor Pass, which stands at an altitude of 3,800 meters, before descending to the tranquil shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. Along the way, we’ll pause for a picturesque picnic lunch.

Our day concludes with the warm hospitality of our guest house in Kaji-Say, where a delightful dinner awaits us before we retire for the night. This journey is not just about the destination but about embracing the rugged beauty and remote landscapes that define this spectacular region.

In the morning after breakfast, we’ll walk through the “Fairy Tale” canyon, which feels like being on another planet. Next, we visit the Barskoon gorge for a light one-hour hike to see two waterfalls. Picnic lunch in nature. Optionally, ascend the high-mountain plateau Ara-Bel (3900m above sea level) to see some 5000m peaks and glaciers. Before arriving in Karakol, we’ll visit the Jeti-Oguz gorge, known as ‘Seven Bulls’, and hear its story. Evening arrival in Karakol, dinner at a local café, and overnight stay in a hotel.

We’ll then head to Cholpon-Ata for lunch, savoring local flavors.

The journey continues with a stop at the archaeological and architectural museum complex “Burana,” a captivating site dating back to the 10th and 11th centuries that offers a glimpse into the region’s rich history. Our day concludes as we arrive in Bishkek, where we’ll check into our hotel before enjoying a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, celebrating our journey’s experiences. You’ll spend the night at the hotel, ensuring a restful end to an unforgettable adventure.
